The Career Choice Program involves an ongoing coaching relationship leading to making important decisions about your future. It is important to make sure there is a good fit between the program and your goals and expectations. The best way to do that is to have a conference, either in person if you live near Washington, D.C., or by telephone if you live elsewhere. A telephone conference is set up just like an in-person conference. You schedule a time when you have an hour free and then call us at the appointed day and time. During this conference, we will discuss your situation, what you want to achieve in the Career Choice Program and answer your questions.

If you have trouble with commitment, don’t worry: you’re partnered with a senior Rockport coach who provides you with continual support, encouragement and motivation.
You and your Rockport coach will break down the big question, “What am I going to do with my life,” into manageable chunks with actionable steps. Together, you’ll assess your natural talents and innate abilities, your personality, goals, values, temperament, interests, the working environment in which you’ll flourish, and much more. Using the most advanced, state-of-the-art methodologies, you’ll gradually uncover elements of certainty about what your new career will include.
Chances are your Rockport coach will ask you questions you’ve never thought of before. Through a series of exercises, inquiries, small decisions and large, you’ll design your career piece by piece – a career that’s just as ambitious and realistic as fits your own personality and comfort level – then develop the practical steps to achieving your career goals.
One-on-one conferences with your senior Rockport coach are custom designed to your situation. They can be done in-person or over the phone, depending on your location, with assignments to complete between sessions. The material covered in each session is tailored to your unique needs: whether you tend to follow your head or your heart, whatever your goals or your own definition of success, we help you define it and then integrate into your program.
