WHAT IT IS The Educational Choice Program is designed to help young people and their families make the best possible educational and career decisions. It includes our Pathfinder Career Testing Program and interpretation with up to three follow-on sessions, helping you make the important choices that lead to a satisfying and successful career.

The entire process is highly flexible, both in length and content, and is custom-designed for your unique situation. Clients include high achievers who want to make sure they do not make a mistake at this important time, students who have had difficulties, and others whose situation is somewhere in-between the two. Some students are ready to make a final career decision. Many others are engaged in a process that will take multiple years before they are ready to make the final choice. The Educational Choice Program's flexibility responds to both situations and helps you make the best decisions at the right time.

WHAT IT ISN'T Some educational consultants have expertise in helping college-bound students home in on a school that fits their SATs, budget and many other criteria. They have extensive databases that include every possible feature of thousands of schools. The Educational Choice Program is not that kind of service. Rockport's work has always been based on helping people choose a career direction that fits them perfectly. This is outside the area of competence of traditional educational consultants. We believe that homing in on the best possible career direction is the most important part of making any educational decision. After all, you go to school primarily to prepare for your future career. Yet many college graduates say what they learned had little to do with their present career. But that just points out the failure of colleges to fulfill their responsibility to their students.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? Anywhere between a few months and several years, depending on your individual situation.

WHERE We have clients all over the globe. You do the program in the privacy of your home. Sessions are conducted by telephone unless you live or travel to the Washington, D.C. area. Ninety percent (90%) of Rockport clients live outside our local area.

TO ENROLL Because the Educational Choice Program involves an ongoing coaching relationship leading to making important decisions about the future, it is important to make sure there is a good fit between the program and your goals and expectations. The best way to do that is to have a conference, either in person if you live near Washington, D.C., or by telephone if you live anywhere else on the planet. OTHER COSTS The only other cost to you is whatever your long distance company charges you for telephone appointments and postage for return of your test results.

SHIPPING There are no extra charges for shipping or handling if you live in the U.S. or Canada. Outside the U.S. and Canada, delivery is $20 (via Global Priority or Airmail). For Federal Express of test package: $50 to Mexico; $60 to Europe; $70 to India, Australia and Asia; $90 to Middle East, Africa and South America. (DHL courier service may be more for areas not served by Federal Express.)
