ROCKPORT'S CONTRIBUTIONS
Some of the many Rockport contributions we’re most proud of include:
- Nicholas Lore’s groundbreaking theory that both fulfillment and success depend on choosing a career that includes the many crucial personal elements that are the heart of our holistic career programs.
- Rockport co-created the practical model of equilibrium, the inner force that actually produces many of the actions and thoughts we believe we are generating. Our minds choose the status quo so, without powerful intervention, fearful feelings and thoughts can prevent us from changing to the lives we most want.
- Our work proved that, though people are indeed born to a natural place on the extroversion scale, their thoughts, desires and actions sometimes appear the opposite as they struggle to regain their comfort zone.
- Rockport has pioneered methods of communicating an individual’s innate abilities in ways that allow a client to experience the validity of test results by looking back over his or her life.
- One view of life is that a clockwork universe limits us; the other is that we have the power to create anything we view as a possibility. To live life fully, Rockport believes that you need to live as if both are equally true. Recognize your limitations--but remember anything you can dream of is yours if you are willing to make it come true.
- We have contributed significantly to the understanding of how individual aptitudes and their combinations interact and the larger role they play in career and life satisfaction.
- The Pathfinder, often called the best career design book ever written, is essentially an entire library on creating a wholly new, highly fulfilled life that you will love.
