READER QUESTIONS

What’s the best way to prepare for my career change? Our Career Choice Program is the most effective way to choose your future; even the brightest person is best served by having an expert coach.

I have lots of wants but I'm not sure I'm ready to commit to anything. Start with simple commitments such as, will you work or not work? How do you want to dress on the job? Beginning with whatever you are sure of gets the process going, and then it gets easier and easier to put together enough pieces of the puzzle to make your decision.

Why is your values inquiry so in-depth? If you just ask someone about their values, they usually wind up sounding something like the Boy Scout Oath! We dig deeper because it is crucial to separate the values you actually live by from the ones you wish you lived by.

What is the Number One secret to using The Pathfinder? If you remember the real question, "What am I sure must be components of my future work?", you can't go wrong. People tend to get lost in the details but understanding your natural talents and interests has deep importance only if it helps you make wise career decisions.

The Number Two secret? Think of the entire process as a way of seeking clues and deciding about their importance so take things one step at a time and don't leap to conclusions.

I'm a high school senior, where should I start? The most important first step is to get clear about what careers will fit your talents and personality using our Educational Choice Program or the Pathfinder Career Testing Program. Then, use The Pathfinder to dig into the other important questions. You should review our presentation especially for young adults and students.
